Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 30, 2012, Threshold Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing that US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Orphan Drug Designation for TH-302, a hypoxia-targeted drug, for the treatment of soft tissue sarcoma. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
On March 30, 2012, Threshold Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcingdetailed results were now published in the abstract featuring its 214-patient randomized controlled Phase 2b clinical trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of two doses of TH-302, a hypoxia-targeted drug, in combination with gemcitabine compared to gemcitabine alone in patients with first-line advanced pancreatic cancer. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.2 to this Form 8-K.
