Item 8.01. Other Events.
On May 25, 2012, Bionovo, Inc. (the “Company”) notified all clinical sites participating in the Company’s Phase 3 clinical trial for its drug Menerba (Study MF101-004) to terminate all patients enrolled on the trial and discontinue the study. Given the Company’s financial condition, all MF101-004 study related conduct and operations will cease effective May 30, 2012.
