Explanation of Responses:

1. Each share of the Issuer's Series A-1 Convertible Preferred Stock, Series A-2 Convertible Preferred Stock and Series B Convertible Preferred Stock (collectively, the "Preferred Stock") automatically converted into one share of the Issuer's common stock upon the closing of the Issuer's initial public offering. The Preferred Stock had no expiration date.

2. The shares are held by Alta Partners NextGen Fund I, L.P. (APNG 1). The Reporting Person is a managing director of Alta Partners NextGen Fund I Management, LLC, which is the general partner of APNG I. The Reporting Person may be deemed to beneficially own the shares held by APNG 1, and disclaims beneficial ownership of such securities, except to the extent of his pecuniary interest therein.
