Following a fairness hearing held on November 8, 2013, the court in the Lifetrend litigation approved the previously disclosed settlement between the parties and entered a final judgment in the case. Reference is made to the note to the financial statements entitled “Litigation and Other Legal Proceedings” included in the Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q of CNO Financial Group, Inc. for the quarterly period ended September 30, 2013 for additional information regarding this litigation.
