In view of the fact that General Steel Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) is starting discussion with a potential target with the view of entering into a material transaction, the management of the Company has decided to suspend the stock purchase program by the management of the Company pending further disclosure. The stock purchase program is disclosed in the Form 8-K filed on April 8, 2009 which is incorporated herein by reference.
