On July 25, 2013, CPA®:16 – Global and W. P. Carey Inc. announced that the two companies have entered into a merger agreement. W. P. Carey has been the advisor to CPA®:16 – Global since inception and managed its assets successfully through a variety of economic conditions.
We are writing to inform you that, in light of the proposed merger, CPA®:16 – Global’s Board of Directors has suspended voluntary cash investments. As such, your request to make an additional purchase via a voluntary cash investment cannot be accepted at this time. If you submitted a personal check with your voluntary cash investment request, it will be destroyed. If you would prefer to have your original personal check returned, you can request this by contacting our Investor Relations department at 1-800-WP CAREY or IR@wpcarey.com within 45 days. If you submitted a cashiers check, bank check or similar instrument, it will be returned to you. All wires received for voluntary cash investments will be returned to the account from which they originated.
