Universal Technical Institute, Inc. Announces Stock Repurchase Program
PHOENIX, March 6, 2006 – Universal Technical Institute, Inc. (NYSE: UTI),a provider of technical education training, announced today that the Company’s Board of Directors has authorized the Company to repurchase up to $30 million of its common stock in open market or privately negotiated transactions. The timing and actual number of shares purchased will depend on a variety of factors such as price, corporate and regulatory requirements, and other prevailing market conditions. The Company may terminate or limit the stock repurchase program at any time without prior notice. As of the most recent 10-Q filing for the first quarter ended December 31, 2005, the Company had 27,992,207 shares currently outstanding.
