Item 8.01 Other Events.
On July 16, 2018, Hines Real Estate Investment Trust, Inc. (the "Company") made available to financial advisors with clients invested in the Company, a table that presents an example of the hypothetical return a stockholder might realize if the stockholder had purchased $100,000 in shares of the Company’s common stock on each of the dates indicated in the table and held such shares continuously through the payment of the final liquidating distribution. A copy of the table is included herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference herein.
