On January 12, 2005, Affordable Residential Communities Inc. ("ARC") issued a
press release announcing that Todd M. Abbrecht, Thomas M. Hagerty and Scott A.
Schoen have resigned from ARC's board of directors. The press release is
attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
