Item 8.01 Other Events
On June 29, 2020, Assurant, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a news release announcing the completion of its 2020 Property Catastrophe Reinsurance Program. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
In addition, in June 2020, the Company’s insurance subsidiaries in the Netherlands received the necessary regulatory approvals for the Company to continue conducting business in Europe following the end of the transition period relating to the withdrawal of the United Kingdom from the European Union.
