Dear Colleagues,
It has been a busy week since we announced our definitive agreement with Alfasigma. Initial feedback from our external stakeholders indicates that they understand the vision for how Intercept can serve as a strategic building block for Alfasigma’s future in the U.S. market.
We’ve also continued to have productive discussions with the Alfasigma leadership team, and they have reiterated the tremendous value that they see in our talented team and capabilities. Next week Alfasigma CEO Francesco Balestrieri and members of his senior management team will visit our Morristown headquarters to meet with members of our team. For those employees who are based in our Morristown office, please come into the office on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.
Of course, I know that you are eager to hear directly from Alfasigma and have many questions across a range of topics. To that end, Francesco and I will be hosting an All-Employee Update (AEU) on Tuesday, October 3, at 11:00 am US ET. An Outlook invitation will be sent separately.
The webcast event will originate from the auditorium in our Morristown headquarters. Given the volume of questions we expect across a range of topics, please submit your questions to AEU.Questions@interceptpharma.com prior to the event.
As I said earlier this week, we are at the beginning of a process, and it is business as usual until the transaction closes. I know this is a big change for our company, but you should be encouraged by the opportunities that lie ahead in the future.
