On April 18, 2007, Alesco Financial Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its 2007 annual meeting of stockholders is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 2:00 pm EDT at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia located at One Logan Square, Philadelphia, PA 19103. The record date for stockholders entitled to vote at the annual meeting is the close of business on Friday, April 20, 2007. The Company intends to mail stockholders of record the proxy statement for the meeting on or about April 30, 2007. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
