Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 5, 2015, Ocera Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that 6 abstracts involving the Company’s drug candidate OCR-002 have been accepted for presentation at The Liver Meeting® 2015, the 66th Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), being held from November 13-17, 2015, in San Francisco, CA. These abstracts include new data supporting the continued evaluation of OCR-002 as a new liver disease therapeutic. The full text of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
