On May 29, 2012, Wilshire Bancorp, Inc. issued a press release announcing the termination of the Memorandum of Understanding, dated May 6, 2011, by and between its subsidiary bank, Wilshire State Bank, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the California Department of Financial Institutions, effective as of May 18, 2012. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1
