ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS
On November 5, 2013, Wilshire Bancorp, Inc. (“Wilshire”) and Saehan Bancorp (“Saehan”) issued a joint press release in connection with the pending merger between Wilshire and Saehan, announcing shareholder approval of the merger by the Saehan shareholders at a meeting earlier today and the expected election deadline of November 12, 2013 for Saehan shareholders to elect their form of merger consideration. The completion of the merger is expected to occur on or about November 20, 2013, subject to customary closing conditions. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
