Item 8.01. Other Events
On February 18, 2005, Gramercy Capital Corp. closed on a $36.5 million mezzanine loan in connection with a planned conversion of a commercial property in New York City to residential condominiums and certain other uses. The Company’s investment is secured by a pledge of the borrower’s equity ownership interest in the to-be-converted commercial property. Gramercy Capital Corp.’s investment has an initial term of 20 months and bears interest at a rate of LIBOR plus 1192 basis points.
