New Facility Investment
On July 22, 2019, the Board of Directors of LG Display resolved to invest additional 3.0 trillion won in 10.5G OLED Fab in Paju, Korea, continued from the investment announced in July 2017. The investment will be used for the production of large size OLED panels such as 65 inches and above.
The investment is expected to enhance the market leadership for large OLED panels and create new market opportunities with diversified applications. It is also expected to strengthen cost and manufacturing competitiveness.
The project is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2019 and continue until the first quarter of 2023. The final completion date is subject to change depending on market conditions and the Company’s internal schedule.
