GOL Announces Traffic Statistics for April 2006
São Paulo, May 3, 2006 – GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes (NYSE: GOL and Bovespa: GOLL4), Brazil’s low fare, low cost airline, today released preliminary passenger statistics for the month of April 2006. System-wide passenger traffic (RPK) increased 56%, while capacity (ASK) increased 50% y-o-y. GOL’s system load factorfor the month of April 2006 was 78%.
Domestic passenger traffic (RPK) for April increased 52%, and capacity (ASK) increased 46%. GOL’s domestic load factor for the month of April 2006 was 78%.
International passenger traffic (RPK) for April increased 125%, while capacity (ASK) increased 117%. International load factor for the month of April 2006 was 69%.
Yield per passenger kilometer decreased 3% vs. April 2005, while average stage length (passenger trip) increased 10%.
