Symmetry Medical Completes Acquisition of Specialty Surgical
Instruments
WARSAW, Ind., September 4, 2007 — Symmetry Medical Inc. (NYSE: SMA), an independent provider of products to the global orthopedic device industry and other medical markets, announced today that it has completed the previously announced acquisition of Specialty Surgical Instruments (SSI) and Ultra Containers of America (UCA), a leading provider of specialty surgical instruments and sterilization containers.
