On October 31, 2007, the Board of Directors of JER Investors Trust Inc. (the "Company") increased the size of the Board from 7 members to 8 members and appointed Mark Weiss, President of the Company, to the Board of Directors of the Company. Mr. Weiss is also a managing director of J.E. Robert Company, Inc. and President of JER Commercial Debt Advisors LLC, the Company's manager. Mr. Weiss is a member of the Company's Investment Committee and a member of the JER Fund Investment Committee. Mr. Weiss has not been appointed to any committees of the Board of Directors of the Company.
Mr. Weiss joined J.E. Robert Company, Inc. in 2006. Prior to that, Mr. Weiss was with Goldman Sachs for sixteen years, most recently serving as a managing director for commercial and residential mortgage originations and securitizations. Mr. Weiss received a B.A. in Economics and Math from Dartmouth College and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
