ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS.

On September 16, 2013, Rand Logistics, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it expected to experience scheduling inefficiencies of its fleet as a result of the temporary shutdown of a customer’s mine.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
