Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.
On April 29, 2021, Pacific Biosciences of California, Inc. (the “Company”) announced its financial results for its first fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2021. A copy of the press release containing the announcement is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and is incorporated herein by reference.

As noted in the press release discussed above, the Board of Directors of the Company (the “Board”) has nominated Hannah A. Valantine, M.D. to stand for election to the Board as a Class II director at the Company’s 2021 Annual Meeting. More information about Dr. Valantine and the 2021 Annual Meeting will be available in the Company’s proxy statement.
