On May 28, 2008, Foundation Coal Holdings, Inc. issued a press release announcing that the Emerald Mine, operated by its affiliate Emerald Coal Resources, LP in Northern Appalachia, continues to produce at a reduced level following the roof fall announced on May 15, 2008.
