Effective January 1, 2009 Ecotality Inc. (the “Company”) has elected not to renew the employment agreement of Darrell Musick, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Innergy Power Division and the Ecotality Stores subsidiary of Ecotality Inc. Mr. Musick had served as the CEO of Innergy and Ecotality Stores since October 1, 2007 and had been retained through a time-bound contract that expired on December 31, 2008 which was not renewed.
The decision not to continue this CEO position at the division level is in alignment with our strategic direction to streamline and to more cohesively integrate our respective division and subsidiary operations as we move forward. To maintain continuity in the short term as we take this opportunity to reassess our organizational structure, the executive management of the Innergy Power Division and the Ecotality Stores subsidiary will report directly to the CEO of Ecotality Inc, the parent company.
