Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers.
On July 17, 2006, the Board of Directors of MHI Hospitality Corporation (“MHI”) approved the appointment of Anthony E. Domalski, 44, as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer of MHI.
Mr. Domalski joined MHI in May 2005 as chief accounting officer. Prior to joining MHI, from 2001 to 2005, Mr. Domalski was employed as Chief Financial Officer of SwissFone Inc., a Washington-based international telecommunications company, where he assisted in management-led buyout of the U.S. international wholesale division from Swisscom, AG. Before joining SwissFone, from 1999 to 2001, Mr. Domalski was employed as Controller, U.S. Operations, of FaciliCom International, another Washington-based international telecommunications company. Mr. Domalski is a C.P.A. and a graduate of University of Maryland where he received his B.S. in accounting and finance.
