(e) On August 17, 2007, the compensation committee of the Board of Directors of Arlington Tankers Ltd. (“the Company”) increased the base salary of Edward Terino, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, interim President and Chief Financial Officer, to $246,750, effective immediately.
In addition, on August 17, 2007, the compensation committee approved an amendment to the Company’s 2007 Bonus Plan to increase from $50,000 to $75,000 the maximum lump sum cash payment that an executive officer is eligible to receive if the total amount of the Company’s general and administrative expenses during 2007, excluding the Company’s payments to executive officers under the 2007 Bonus Plan, do not exceed the 2007 budget for those expenses.
