Blacksands Petroleum, Inc. (the “Company”) was unable to file a timely Report on Form 10-K for the period ended October 31, 2008 (“Form 10-K”) and filed a Notification of Late Filing on Form 12b-25 on January 29, 2009. The Company was unable to file its Form 10-K within the extension period provided by the Securities and Exchange Commission pursuant to Form 12b-25 as the Company was unable to complete its analysis and restatement of its financial statements related to the accounting treatment of expenses for Oil and Gas Property Costs and other corrections for the year ended October 31, 2007 which impacts the Company’s October 31, 2008 Form 10-K. The Company is presently working towards completing its analysis and restatement and expects to file the Form 10-K no later than March 6, 2009.
