Item 8.01. Other Events.
On September 16, 2013, Green Plains Renewable Energy, Inc. issued a press release announcing its intention to offer $75 million aggregate principal amount of convertible senior notes in a private placement solely to qualified institutional buyers (as defined in Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended), subject to market and other conditions. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
