Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Principal Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Principal Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On April 1, 2007, Michael D. Brown will assume the newly created role of Assistant to the President of Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. ("ANR"). Randy McMillion will succeed Mr. Brown in his role of Vice President of ANR, effective as of April 1, 2007, and will assume Mr. Brown’s current duties and responsibilities in connection with that position.
