On September 26, 2014, pSivida Corp. issued a press release announcing that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved ILUVIEN® for the treatment of diabetic macular edema. ILUVIEN is indicated for patients who have been previously treated with a course of corticosteroids and did not have a clinically significant rise in intraocular pressure. The press release making such announcement is attached to this filing as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated by reference into this Item 8.01.
