Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 30, 2008, FreightCar America, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that the pending global settlement relating to its Johnstown, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility had been ratified by the local union membership. Members of the United Steelworkers of America (USWA) approved the settlement on Thursday, June 26. The settlement remains subject to court approval.
A copy of the Company’s press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
