Eastern Insurance Holdings, Inc. issued a press release today announcing that Lawrence W. Bitner, a Board of Directors member, suddenly passed away on Friday, March 26, 2010. Mr. Bitner was 62 years old.
With Mr. Bitner’s passing, the remaining number of directors of the Company is eight. The Company has not set a timetable for naming a replacement for Mr. Bitner.
