Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On March 15, 2006, certain members of management of Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. (“Alpha”) will make a presentation at the Citigroup Small and Mid Cap Conference. A copy of the presentation materials to be used at the Citigroup conference and from time to time thereafter by Alpha management in presentations to investors and analysts is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
