Item 8.01 Other Events.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (the "Bank") filed its 2008 10-K Annual Report with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") on March 13, 2009. The Bank also filed an 8-K Current Report with the SEC on February 26, 2009 to report its financial results for the year ended December 31, 2008. On Tuesday, March 24, 2009 the Bank will host a member-only conference call at 11 A.M. Central Time to discuss its 2008 year-end results and to respond to member comments and questions.
An audio webcast of the conference call will be made available following the call on the Bank's website at www.fhlbdm.com. The webcast will be archived on the Bank's website for 30 days.
A Bank announcement regarding the upcoming conference call was sent to Bank members on March 13, 2009 and is attached as exhibit 99.1 hereto.
