Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure
On April 25, 2016 the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (the "Bank") entered into a settlement agreement with certain defendants in connection with the Bank's private-label mortgage-backed securities litigation for the aggregate amount of approximately $165.6 million (after netting certain legal fees and expenses). The Bank's litigation continues against other defendants. For additional information on the litigation, see "Part I. Item 3. Legal Proceedings" in the Bank's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the period ended December 31, 2015 (filed March 21, 2016).
