Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On March 9, 2018, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines board of directors (Des Moines Bank Board) elected Joe R. Kesler to serve as the Montana member director on the Des Moines Bank Board, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Michael J. Blodnick. Mr. Kesler is currently serving as a director on the board of First Montana Bank in Missoula, Montana. He was previously the president and CEO of First Montana Bank from 2005 to February 2018. Mr. Kesler will serve on the Human Resources and Compensation Committee and Finance and Planning Committee.
Item 7.01 Regulation FD Disclosure.
On March 9, 2018, the Bank issued an announcement to its members concerning Mr. Kesler's election. The announcement is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report. The information set forth under Item 5.02 is also furnished pursuant to this Item 7.01.
