Explanation of Responses:

1. Includes 1,880 restricted stock units (RSUs) that entitle the Reporting Person to receive one share of Class A Common Stock upon settlement, which will take place within 30 days of vesting, from an original grant consisting of 1,880 RSUs with a grant date of 6/18/2019, which will vest 100% on 5/15/2020. All grants are subject to the Reporting Person's continued service with Workday on the applicable vesting date.

2. The stock option grant was issued under the Issuer's 2005 Stock Plan and vested 100% on December 16, 2016. This option grant is exercisable in full or in part at any time.

3. The stock option grant was issued under the Issuer's 2005 Stock Plan and vested 100% on January 1, 2014. This option grant is exercisable in full or in part at any time.
