On April 10, 2006, Somaxon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. issued a press release announcing the results from one of four Phase 3 clinical trials for its lead product candidate, SILENOR™ (doxepin hydrochloride). The trial was a Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group, multi-center 35-day study designed to assess the efficacy and safety of 3 mg and 6 mg dose levels of SILENOR™ in adults with primary insomnia characterized by sleep maintenance difficulties in a sleep laboratory setting. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
