(b) On December 16, 2011, August J. Moretti, Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, General Counsel and Secretary, of Alexza Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Alexza”) resigned from his position with Alexza, effective December 31, 2011, in order to pursue other professional opportunities.
