Explanation of Responses:

1. 2,637 shares acquired pursuant to ShoreTel, Inc.'s Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) on various dates. 2,254 shares acquired upon vesting of various Restricted Stock Unit Grants and 250 shares acquired in an open market purchase. All shares acquired when Mr. Jones was not subject to Section 16.

2. Option vests as to 25% on 01/10/12, and vests as to 1/48th of the shares each month over the next three years thereafter.

3. Option vests as to 25% on 08/17/13, and vests as to 1/48th of the shares each month over the next three years thereafter.

4. Option vests as to 25% on 08/26/14, and vests as to 1/48th of the shares each month over the next three years thereafter.

5. Option vests as to 25% on 08/29/15, and vests as to 1/48th of the shares each month over the next three years thereafter.

6. Restricted Stock Units granted August 17, 2012 which vest yearly over four years.

7. Restricted Stock Units granted August 26, 2013 which vest yearly over four years.
