Explanation of Responses:

1. Deferred stock units represent the right to receive one share of Akamai common stock upon vesting; however, the recipient may elect to defer distribution until a later date.

2. DSUs vested on May 20, 2021 but distribution was deferred until Ms. Greenthal's departure from the Board of Directors on May 12, 2022.

3. Pursuant to Akamai's Policy on Departing Directors, DSUs vested and were distributed upon Ms. Greenthal's departure from the Board of Directors on May 12, 2022.
