Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangement of Certain Officers.
On July 23, 2009. the Board of Directors of Western Iowa Energy (“WIE”) accepted the resignation of Dennis Mauser from the position of Chief Financial Officer of WIE. Mr. Mauser remains a member of the Board of Directors and continues to serve as Treasurer. The Board of Directors appointed Joe Neppl (age 60) to serve as Chief Financial Officer of WIE effective July 23, 2009. Mr. Neppl has been employed by WIE as its Accountant and Controller since March 2005. Mr. Neppl previously served for fourteen years as an accountant for United Agri Products, a division of ConAgra Foods.
