Item 8.01 Other Events.
On November 8, 2007, Isilon Systems, Inc. (the "Company") announced that its Audit Committee is conducting an independent review of certain sales to resellers and other customers to determine whether commitments were made that have an impact on the timing and treatment of revenue recognition and whether the Company’s internal controls relating to revenue recognition are sufficient. Until the Audit Committee’s independent review is completed, the Company will not report its financial results or file its Quarterly Report on Form 10-Q for the fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2007. The Company will file its Form 10-Q as soon as practicable following the completion of the Audit Committee’s review and consultation with its independent registered public accounting firm, but will not likely file by the extended timeline provided by Form 12b-25 for the fiscal quarter ended September 30, 2007. The Company expects to incur considerable professional fees and expenses related to the Audit Commit tee’s review during the fourth quarter.
A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
