Explanation of Responses:

1. Restricted stock units convert into common stock on a one-for-one basis.

2. Issuer withheld the maximum allowable shares to satisfy the tax withholding obligations associated with the vesting of restricted shares and restricted stock units.

3. On April 26, 2018, the reporting person received restricted stock units in exchange for Archrock Partners, L.P. ("APLP") common units in connection with the merger of APLP with and into a wholly owned subsidiary of the Issuer; the restricted stock units are subject to the same vesting restrictions as the original grant.
