Item 5.02 - Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Agreements of Certain Officers.
On November 1, 2017, Mr. Mark J. DeCesaris, the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of W. P. Carey Inc. (“W. P. Carey”), the advisor to Corporate Property Associates 17 – Global Incorporated (the “Company”), informed W. P. Carey’s board of directors of his decision to retire effective December 31, 2017. Effective as of that same date, in connection with his retirement from W. P. Carey, Mr. DeCesaris will also retire from his position as the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of the Company.
