On July 2, 2007, The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation filed a Current Report on Form 8-K announcing that on July 1, 2007, The Bank of New York Company, Inc. and Mellon Financial Corporation merged into The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation. This Amendment No. 1 to Form 8-K is being filed to provide additional financial information, as permitted by Item 9.01(a)(4) and Item 9.01(b)(2) of such report.
