Explanation of Responses:

1. In connection with the Agreement and Plan of Merger, dated April 21, 2022, by and among Ergon Asphalt & Emulsions, Inc., Merle, LLC, Blueknight Energy Partners G.P., L.L.C. and Blueknight Energy Partners, L.P. (the "Merger Agreement"), these common units were converted into a right of the holder to receive an amount in cash equal to the per unit merger consideration of $4.65. Of Mr. Kanvik's common units, 55,922 units were fully vested prior to the consummation of the transactions contemplated by the Merger Agreement, and 177,525 were phantom units accelerated immediately prior to the consummation of the transactions contemplated by the Merger Agreement.

Remarks:

Mr. Kanvik is the Chief Legal Officer of Blueknight Energy Partners G.P., L.L.C., the general partner of Blueknight Energy Partners, L.P.
