ITEM 5.02
Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Bruce L. Hartman, the Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Chief Financial Officer of The Yankee Candle Company, Inc. (the “Company”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Yankee Holding Corp, has notified the Company that he intends to retire after the end of the Company’s current fiscal year. It is currently anticipated that Mr. Hartman will continue to serve in his current role through the end of the Company’s fiscal year and the closing of the annual financial statements related thereto. The Company has issued a press release announcing Mr. Hartman’s planned departure, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
