On June 30, 2014, Yongye International, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the parties are still working on the logistics to complete the amended going private transaction. The escrow agreement between MSPEA Agriculture Holding Limited, Lead Rich International Limited and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, dated September 23, 2013, as amended on June 21, 2014, has been extended to July 4, 2014. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
