Item 8.01. Other Events.
On December 13, 2007, Tropicana Entertainment, LLC (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the New Jersey Casino Control Commission (the “Commission”) determined on December 12, 2007 not to renew the Company’s license to operate the Tropicana Atlantic City, directing instead that control of the casino resort be transferred to a trustee until the sale of the property to a third party can be arranged by the trustee in accordance with the Commission’s guidelines. A copy of this press release is being furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
